Today
A truly global network
Twenty firms working as one — and still meeting in person, twice a year.
“We are not a directory of contacts. We are a group of firms that, after twenty years of meeting twice a year, have become friends.”
What makes us different
Most international networks connect firms for business. E-Iure connects people who, after two decades together, genuinely trust one another — and it shows in how we work for our clients.
Real familiarity, not a logo wall
21 firms across 20 countries. They meet twice a year, travel together and know each other's families. The relationship goes far beyond any single case.
Solid through the years
More than twenty years, over forty conventions. Trust built slowly, in person, is what keeps the alliance strong when it matters for a client.
Local strength
We strengthen a network of national and local firms committed to supporting and promoting the business and investment opportunities that arise in their country for foreign agents.
Why our members value belonging
Not a directory, but a circle of trusted colleagues — this is what the alliance means to them, personally and professionally.
Our objective & philosophy
Independent firms in the world's hotspots
Building a network of well-established independent law firms in many of the world's economic hotspots, to serve the needs of a diverse business clientele.
One firm per country, as a rule
National exclusivity: one law firm per country — the United States is the only exception, with two — working harmoniously to develop a deep, trustful and exclusive relationship within a very manageable group of firms.
The same standard, everywhere
All E-Iure firms are committed to the highest internal quality standards: confidentiality, mandatory professional indemnity insurance, command of foreign languages and promptness.
We understand our clients' need for reliable international legal correspondents, and we are committed to providing a sound and effective response to the profound changes in legal and judicial cooperation — in Europe and worldwide — already under way and still to come.
Questions about the network
What is E-Iure?
E-Iure is an international network of 21 independent law firms in 20 countries across four continents. It was founded in 2000 as an association under Spanish law, with headquarters in Madrid, and was created as a link between Europe and Latin America. E-Iure is not itself a law firm: it brings together established independent firms that work with one another on cross-border matters.
Is E-Iure a law firm?
No. E-Iure is an association of independent law firms. Each member firm is its own business and is solely responsible for the advice it gives. The network introduces and coordinates; it does not practise law and gives no legal advice as an entity.
How does the network work?
Membership is exclusive by country, so relationships stay deep within a manageable group of firms. The member firms have met in person twice a year for more than twenty years, which is where the working relationships are built, and all of them commit to the same standards: confidentiality, mandatory professional indemnity insurance, command of foreign languages and promptness.
Is there one law firm per country?
Yes, as a rule. E-Iure admits one member firm per country so that the relationship within the network is deep, trustful and exclusive. The United States is the only exception, with two member firms.
In which countries does E-Iure have member firms?
E-Iure has member firms in 20 countries: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States. Fifteen firms are in Europe, three in Latin America, two in the United States and one in Africa.
How do I get legal advice through the network?
Contact the E-Iure member firm in your own country, or write to e-iure@e-iure.com, and that firm will introduce the right colleague in the jurisdiction you need. The advice itself always comes from the member firm, under its own professional responsibility.
What areas of law do the member firms cover?
Between them the member firms cover corporate and M&A, commercial and contracts, banking and finance, insolvency and restructuring, regulatory and compliance, data protection and privacy, risk assessment, tax, foreign investment, labour and employment, and real estate.
