Real estate investments in Italy by foreign investors can be carried out via two different types of regulated collective investment vehicles, namely real estate investment funds (fondi comuni di investimento immobiliare, REIFs) and real estate closed-ended investment companies (SICAF immobiliari, R-SICAFs), both of which offer an attractive tax regime.
